OUR
MILK

The Process:

1

Milk the Cows!

We bring our cows in from the pasture twice a day to be milked at the barn.

2

Bottle the Milk!

The milk is pumped over to our storefront to be filtered or gently pasteurized.

3

You Buy It!

That's it! You can buy our milk directly from our storefront or on the shelves of one of our local retail partners!

Straight from the Farm

Our milk is bottled on our farm roughly 85 feet from where the cows are milked! When you buy milk from the farm you can see our cows on pasture and you can check out our small bottling facility to see our process in action. Being able to see the specific cows that produce the milk you’re buying is virtually impossible today. Most milk today travels hundreds of miles from the farm to be processed and then hundreds of miles more to your grocery store!

Never Homogenized

We are proud to say that none of our milk is homogenized which means the cream naturally rises to the top of our milk. This is why you should shake it well prior to pouring a glass or you can slowly pour the cream in your coffee! Non-homogenized milk allows the milk molecules to stay in their natural state, and those molecules carry essential nutrients to our bodies. Milk that is not homogenized is easier to digest and better for cholesterol and heart health than homogenized milk.

We Offer Both Gently Pasteurized & Unpasteurized Milk

Pasteurized

Our pasteurized milk is vat pasteurized and slowly heated to a temperature of 145 degrees, held there for 30 minutes, and then chilled and bottled. This method of pasteurization is more labor intensive and time consuming than other types of pasteurization but it renders the most nutrient-dense milk possible.

Unpasteurized

Our unpasteurized or “raw” milk is not heated at all. It is filtered, chilled, filtered again and then bottled! Raw milk is the most natural form of milk possible. Our raw milk has not gone through any kind of heating, so it contains naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and beneficial bacteria. These unaltered enzymes and beneficial bacteria are crucial in having a healthy gut microbiome!
